Automated Periodic Screenshots
The desktop agent captures screenshots at configurable intervals (every 1-30 minutes). Screenshots are uploaded silently in the background and appear in the admin dashboard with timestamp and employee name.
Idle Detection
Detect periods of keyboard and mouse inactivity and mark them as idle on the timeline. Idle periods are clearly separated from active work, giving managers an accurate picture of productive time.
Suspicion Scoring
Each screenshot is assigned an AI-generated suspicion score based on visible content. Screenshots with high scores (potential policy violations, personal browsing, etc.) are surfaced first in the admin review queue.
AI Screen Analysis
AI models analyze each screenshot for categories of concern: document handling, external communications, social media, competitor sites, and inappropriate content — without needing keyword rules.
Live Admin Dashboard
View the most recent screenshot from every employee in a live grid dashboard. See who is active, idle, or offline at a glance. Click any employee for their full screenshot timeline.

Install the Desktop Agent
Employees install the lightweight TaskEase agent on their Windows machine. The agent runs silently, captures screenshots at the configured interval, and uploads them encrypted to the admin dashboard.
Set Screenshot Interval
Admins configure the screenshot frequency per department or per employee. Choose from every 1 minute (high-surveillance) to every 30 minutes (light oversight). Policy changes take effect instantly.
Review in Dashboard
Open the monitoring dashboard to see live employee activity. Browse screenshot timelines, review AI-flagged items, check idle periods, and export monthly reports — all from one screen.

Yes. TaskEase follows a transparent monitoring approach. Employees are notified during agent installation that their work activity and periodic screenshots will be captured. The agent icon is visible in the system tray so employees are always aware monitoring is active.
What operating systems does the monitoring agent support?
The TaskEase desktop agent currently supports Windows 10 and Windows 11. macOS support is on the roadmap. The agent is a lightweight background process with minimal CPU and RAM usage — employees will not notice it running.
